HCL Aspiring Minds GD & Personal Interview
Hello friends...Last week my friend got selected for HCL...He shared some GD experiences with me which I am gonna share with you now. You can also check my last month's post on HCL here.
Firstly, there is no technical round, but there is a technical GD. Now if you ask me "what is this technical group discussion?" my answer would be "It is just a group discussion on some technical topic". They first introduce you to some technical topic and then they'll ask you to discuss on that topic. In my friends case it was a topic on database. So, if you already know the topic, take the initiative and start the discussion. If you are not so sure, it would be best you start second in the group. They mainly want to know how well you grasp the subject.- you should show them that you've got the attitude to learn and you are trainable.
Secondly, if you clear the GD you would be asked to attend the interview. The interview is very easy to get through. The way you present yourself matters here. They mainly see how you would be helpful for the organization in short term and long term. They may ask you "Where do see yourself 5 years from now?".So prepare on these lines and hope for the best. Every interview is an experience, you would definitely take away something from it.

I have attended the GD round. Its too easy they will provide you very easy topics like low level lang high level lang, SDLC,etc. just if you don't know any thing about the topic don't start it just wait for others to start and then draw conclusion from that and speak.
Hi frnds.. It actually depends upon the person who is going 2 conduct the interview.In mycase he gave a topic and asked us to develop a project. But they wont see whether u r giving right answer tey just wanna know whther ur knowledgable and whthr ur involving or not.. thats it. 10 were der in my group and 7 got cleared.. isn't tat cool!!1

dont worry abt the topic, how ever they will give you introduction and 10 mins brief info abt the topic. from that you can conclude and speak something abt it

I have got selected for HCL interview on saturday...as i have came 2 know there will be skipping of technical round if you have got offer letter of some other company.I have got offer letter from IBM Bangalore and my designation is technical support supervisor.So may i know if there is a skipping of round and directly GD then i luckily get through dis..den will i get the same post of technical support or smthng else as i dnt wanna go to technical support.

@nandha I attended the interview in saveetha college on 9th and i received the mail stating that I had been selected..I received another mail which has asked me to fill in the details of profile updation..But am not able to login to that site as it says that this link is currently unavailable..The last date for updation is tomorrow..Did u get any mail like this ?? if so how did u enter into my hcl campus login..??

I got selected in the interview conducted by hcl technologies on 30th Oct through aspiring minds at sec-125 Noida,(U.P). I got the selection mail on 2nd Nov.
On 16th november 2010 ,i got a confirmation message that my joining date is being finalized. After that i didn't get any response from them till now.
Those who got selected on that day got their joining on 23rd Nov except few. those who didnt get the joning letter till now please reply

After successful 3 month JOB TRAINING they will take a final round ..how much chance to be selected in final round ..if i do not well in final round .. what they will do.. please clear my clarifications and proceed further details.
